Create It Travel seeks to provide as much comfort as possible for you during your flights. We never book flights with "long layovers" or "tight-squeeze" layovers, and we will never book a trip with more than one layover unless discussing this with you in advance. We try to get you flights at the most reasonable hours possible, and book night flights where possible so that you can catch up on your zzz's in preparation for your exciting journey ahead!
We will most likely send you an e-ticket to your email address. For many airlines, you may "check-in" online 24 hours before departure. If you do so, you will still need to wait in lines at the airport to check your luggage. You may skip these lines, however, if you do not have luggage to check.
If you are traveling via another country (i.e. have a layover), check with the person who takes your luggage whether or not your luggage will go through to your final destination or if you will have to claim it at your layover then re-check it. Most carriers will send your luggage through to your final destination, though it is always good to be cautious.
Some Basic Tips:
**FOR UP TO DATE GUIDELINES AND RESTRICTIONS, GO TO TSA.GOV
- Make sure not to bring any liquids in your carry-on luggage, except in containers 3 oz. or smaller. Pack these in a see-through bag, like a ziplock container, and be ready to take them out of your case for inspection at the security check.
- Make sure that your carry-on luggage fits the size and weight requirements of your airline (you can find this out on your airline’s website).
- Be aware that many airlines are now charging a fee for bags that you check. This fee is often between $10 and $40 per bag. This cannot be paid in advance and Create It Travel is not responsible for paying this fee so be ready if you plan on checking bags.
-**Health Tip** Be sure to stay hydrated during your flight; drink a lot of water either before or during the flight. The cabin pressure will naturally dehydrate you. It is also recommended that you stand up and walk around a couple of times during your flight, even if you do not need to use the bathroom, to keep your circulation flowing. Do not try to do this, however, if the Fasten Seat Belt sign is on.
TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN?
Never traveled with your child before? The KEY is to keep him or her busy the entire time. We LOVE Highlights Magazines for kids. Filled with educational puzzles, coloring sections, mazes, hidden pictures, stickers, and much more, they are a great way to keep your child entertained for a long time. Here's their site so you can consider stocking up before the flight...believe us, it's worth it!
There's now also a Highlights for younger children, ages 2-6, which will definitely come in handy if you're traveling with someone of that age.
CHECK-IN
You need to arrive at check-in at least one hour before your departure time for domestic flights and two/three hours before your departure time for international flights. You should arrive at the gate by boarding time (on your ticket) or at least 30 min. prior to take-off for domestic flights and 60 min. prior to take-off for international flights. If you do not follow these rules, you may not be allowed to board the plane. Create It Travel is not responsible if you miss your flight. If this does occur, you should immediately head to ticketing and see if they can give you a new flight (for free). If necessary, call Create It Travel’s Senior Travel Consultant Sam’s cell number at (610) 283-8770 or you can try his home number at (610) 695-4676 (IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES ONLY). If you are out of the country, you must dial 001 first to reach the U.S.
